Ok so I really need some opinions a very frustrating subject. At lerast for me it's frustrating. Let me first say that 2 of my major pet peeves are being interrupted & someone being better/worse than you. You know what I mean those people who if your having a good day they are having a better day! If your having a bad day well theirs is 100 times worse! Ahhh! It's so frustrating to me. It may just be me maybe I'm overreacting but gosh this really hits a nerve with me. I'm to the point I don't talk to basically anyone I don't have to. That's awful I know. So is just how people are now days? I'm a going to have to just get over it if I'm ever gonna have friends? Gosh, I hope not! Another thing, whats your opinion? Do you feel frustrated by this or am I being the pain? HELP!!!!

Court, you sound like me LOL
That is the ONE thing that really grates on my nerves, makes me want to scratch my eyeballs LOL
I have pretty much stopped having friends around here too because I can't handle the competition for everything. If I have a cold, they have a BAD FLU, if I have a headache they have a migraine....if I got something cool on sale, they got 10 things at a much better price somewhere else.
Don't know what to tell ya, I am still trying to figure out if everybody has just gone nuts or if it's just me...let me know if you figure this out LOL
Hey girl, I'm sorry you're feeling so frustrated right now! This same thing annoys me too. One of the girls I talked to in WV did this ALL THE TIME! I think I told you about her a couple times..lol! I would call her really excited about something that happened and she would say something like "Oh that's cool, but guess what happened to me??" or she would just brush it off as nothing. When I would call her to vent about something that really upset me, she would say something like "ya that sucks, but get this!!!" and go on about something that happened to her! GRRRRRR!! I don't know why I even wanted to talk to her or hang out with her. It's crazy the rude and obnoxious things we'll deal with just to have someone to call a friend! I guess it's normal to some extent to want to talk about yourself, but it's got to be a 2-way conversation. It can't just be all about one person. We all have problems!! Hang in there girl and try not to let this bug you so much. There are always going to be these type of people in the world. Just remember, it's their problem not your's. I know we're a long way apart, but you can call me ANYTIME! I don't care when it is!!!! I love ya chic and always will!!!
I hear you- competitiveness definitely is a prevalent problem. I went through this issue when we first moved to Vermont. It was tough because I was trying to make friends but eventually I had to take a step back and evaluate. I "weeded" through my friends - I know that sounds bad but it's the truth. I wasn't mean or rude I just didn't keep those close to me who weren't people of character. I thought by being to them the kind of friend I wanted that it would be ok, but it wasn't. So, now I have a smaller group of close friends who I can trust, lean on for help, and who help me grow. I am still "friends" with the others we just don't really hang out - if that makes any sense. That is just how I dealt with it in my little world :) Hope you find a resolution! Have a great day!

Honestly I don't mind it if they were or are in the same situation that all of us girls went through for 12 to 18 months. Otherwise, it tears me up and I seriously want to smack them. LOL
I know the Christian thing is to turn the other cheek.

I understand what you mean too. It's so annoying when people do that when all you really want them to do is listen to you about you're day. I'm sorry you're having this problem, and I hope that you're able to find people to be around who aren't into competing, but just being your friend.
