Works For Me Wednesday

My edition to WFMW is something I just thought up last week. Military families can really use this idea or anyone really who may have someone away for awhile. I'm so excited I thought of this & can't wait to really use it.
See, last week the kids & I were goofing off. Ty ended up pretending to be Matt & making us all laugh! It got us all talking about things that Matt does & says. They loved it. It made them so happy! I was thinking if only they could hear him say those silly little things he says it would make their day. So, I came up with this. I am getting ready to send a box to Matt (goodies & stuff) & I'm sending a calendar along with it. I'm having him write something on everyday he's gone. You know something silly or even just I love you. Then he's going to send it back to me. I'm going to put post its over each day & everyday they can pull it off & read daddy's speacial message!!! They can also use it as a count down. It's going to be such a great surprise for them. They will love it & so will I!!!
Have a great day everyone!!!!!

That is a sweet idea. I remember when my dad served overseas, he would buy each of us a simple puzzle, and then send us a couple pieces at a time. I remember being really excited about them coming. I guess he could have written little messages on the back of them, too.

You sound like such a good mom, keeping the kids excited about their daddy while he's away. It must be hard sometimes. I hope he knows what a treasure he has in you (if not, just sent me his email and I'll tell him!).
